Was home for a bit, then drove out to see Fred
- to see if I could help out with his web site a bit. I didn't do
much, but we had to take a ride in the PowerStroke!  Then I went out
to church. Darrell and I drove to Stonington and walked around, shooting
some of the houses there. Some neat, old places - of what used to
be an old fishing town. |

| Last day at home - Dinner w/ Dave and Nikki at my folk's place. |

| Last minute stuff - pick up a package at the Post Office, created a new checking account. Drove to Jersey Shore, PA. |

| Got up and drove
to Deny's shop by 9:30. He arrive around 10:00 and looked at the truck
(transmission). Seems to be just a sticking valve, not letting it
go to first at a stop. Nothing really big to worry about, and a lot
of work to get fixed right. So, without the time and money, I headed
to Bainbridge, PA. Went to see Mark Wesner at work, and he pointed me to a mine where I can get some shots of big trucks hauling ore.
So I went, and did get something I could use (it wasn't exactly what
I was wanting, but will work I think.) Spent the night w/ him here,
and went to York for some Mexican. Also, went to see a spot where
some stone shot used in the Civil War was apparently dumped alongside
an old railroad. It was pretty neat to see!

| Up at 6:00 and left by 6:30. I lollygaged around
a little - interested in the history aspect of PA. So I stopped at
Gettysburg for about 3 hours.
Then determined not to stop again I drove to Evansville, IN. I arrived
at about 11:30 or so to see Gene and Rose Ketcham. |

| Spend the day w/ Gene and Rose, also Roger and Jen Enters (on furlough from Africa.) Good to see them. I left at 4:00 to Grandma's house in time for supper. |

| Not too sure what I did today - other than sleeping
for a couple hours on the couch. Went to see Grandpa's tombstone and
drove around a little.

Dwight & clan - Renita, Chris, Jamie, Theresa, Paige and Elliot.

| Drove to Milwaukee, WI - to see Joe. Met Colin
and was amazed with the cars they build!

| Spent the morning w/ Joe, and took off for Idaho at noon. |

| Spent the night at Motel6 somewhere in the Eastern
side of SD. Got up and drove through The Badlands,
Mt. Rushmore , and
Devils Tower . Taking time for this delayed my trip a bit, so I stayed
in another Motel6 in Butte, MT. |

| Got up at 4:30 AM (pst) and arrived at Barney's place at 9:10 am. He was trying to fix a server problem - but he had an ear infection that was really giving him some problems. I was able to learn quite a bit still. |

| Stayed w/ Barney till 11:00, went to the GoodSeed office, out to lunch w/ Russ, Derek, Luke, and then drove to Canada. Arrived sometime around 10:30 or so. |

| Drove around the country looking for some spectacular
photos - because we had a real thick hoar frost last night. The sun
didn't come out before church, so I took what I could and packed it
in. Went to church, and slept the afternoon in front of the fire.
Then went to Jack and Brenda's to show them some pictures, had dinner
and came home to watch Seabiscut. |

| Drove up to see my frinds in Wetaskiwin. John needed some help w/ the electric (I think this is the last hookup!) the road were supposed to be bad, and it was foggy here in Olds. Past Red Deer it was fine, so this was good. |

| Went to New Sweden Missionary Church in the morning,
and it was good to see everyone there again! Lyle spoke on Daniel
10 and Psalm 15. Lunch at Friesen's, took a nap. Bill and Helen Krahn, and Joel and Richelle Swanson came over for Fasba (sp?) I left for home around 7:30. |
| The week of, Jan 26-30, 2004 |
| Worked on both the video, as well as my web page. Was able to get 14-4, 14-5, 15-1 ready for John, as well as upload about 40 pictures. Been learning some on developing HTML and CCS and all that. Made some good progress. It's been cold this week - about -30°C, and found out that you pretty well need your truck plugged in if you want it to start well. It didn't not start, but was close once! House sat for Lytle's. |

| This is the day I toasted one of my $400 studio monitors - Mackie HR 624 - when I touched it and gave it a good static shock. Ugh! It's still under warrenty (if warrenty covers this) so hopefully it won't take too long to get it put back together. |
