Chapter 05-4 ready to check. I thought this was going to take longer,
as I needed to pull several shots of people to illustrate the diversity
in the human race. Instead of using video clips, I opted for the
easier 'still' shots.
"For we will surely die and are like water spilled
on the ground which cannot be gathered up again. Yet God does not
take away life, but plans ways so that the banished one will not
be cast out from him." 2 Samuel 14:14

Interesting day. Early in the morning, got an email from Peter
Bolt looking for another skid of books. By the end of the day, there
was a skid loaded, ready to go w/ paperwork in place and arrangements
made to be picked up the next day. It wasn't too much work, but
just being out of the loop for a while, I was a little rusty on
the procedures. For some reason it's a little nerve-wracking - because
you have to make sure everything is correct, or the skid will end
up in Zimbabwe! I usually have to print things a couple times to
get it right...
Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

08-1 ready... short chapter and not much to fix.
08-2 about half done - lots of distractions today - trying to figure
out how best to get some books up here. They didn't come pick up
the skid today, which means I'll have to either wait tomorrow for
them, or take it to Calgary on my way down.
Psalm 130:5 I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait,
And in His word do I hope.

Drove down to Idaho - drop-shipped a skid of books in Calgary -
going to Australia. Arrived there around 4:30 PST - leaving here
around 9:00 AM (drove through Crowsnest.) Listened to Genesis and
most of Exodus!
Highest elevation in Crowsnest that I saw was 4660 ft.
Friday, March 5, 2004
Had breakfast w/ Russ at the Rustlin' Roost.
Finished the paperwork for the trip back, as well as faxed AUS
their documentation.
Left around 1:00 or 1:30 - wasn't sure, in the snow.
(FINALLY a picture!) It snowed all the way up to Banff, except for
the trip between Cranbrook and Radium. Only 3 people in the ditch
- was able to help a lady out - the other guy was waiting for a
tow truck.
There was semi across the road and a good back up (in Idaho - on
the way to the crossing on the East. So I turned around and went
through another way.
Highest pass was 5800 ft.
Arrived home at 11:30. Listened to Joshua, Judges, Ruth and most
of 1 Sam.
Saturday, March 6, 2004
Unloaded the 2 skids from Idaho, re-packed one skid to fit under
our shelving, washed the tarp as well as my rope.
Headed up to Wetaskiwin, spent the day w/ John - didn't do much
cause his back is out. Finished 1 Sam, 1/2 of 2 Sam.
Sunday, March 7, 2004
Went to church at New Sweden. Don talked about Doctrine in Sunday
School - and Lyle finished up his topic of giving. I thought he
did a great job with it.
Went to Camrose w/ Friesen, and then to Bill's. Looked at his chickens
- and he gave me about 4 flats of eggs (around 10 doz.) He tried
to give me around 10 flats (300 eggs!) - but I didn't think I could
eat or even give away that much! These were the cracked / deformed
ones. Helped re-wire one of his switches that's been giving him
trouble. Drove home - arrived at about 10:00 pm.
Monday, March 8, 2004
Had eggs for breakfast (better get used to it!)
Chapter 08-2 ready…
Chapter 08-3 ready - just need to re-render the animation (in progress
as of 1:40 pm on 4 computers - 6 processors.) This finished right
before I had to leave - left early today to mail a case to Lyle,
and be at Graf's by 5:00 for supper.
So, I hung out with Beat and Clivia till about 7:00, came home,
cleaned the house a little, hauled wood in to fill that up and hung
out for about an hour after all that.
Was a balmy day - about 12°c - 54°f - but tomorow should
hang around freezing.
But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I
have made the Lord GOD my refuge, That I may tell of all Your works.
Psalm 73:28

Eggs. Poached (probably the last time, too.)
Did inventory today and ran to town (post and help backup the church
computer.)
Working on Chapter 09-1, and got it finished. It's a neat section
with a lot of footage from Israel. Just re-rendering an animation.
Today was very windy - coming from the North- and cooled things
down quite a bit. It's not terrible, just at freezing at supper-time.
But the tin on the building here was vibrating quite a bit - like
someone playing a REALLY big harmonica. They said gusts up to 100
km, though I don't know if we got that high here.
John and Janice got home today.
Wednesday, March 10, 2004
Scrambled.
Spent most of the day getting my papers organized for doing my
taxes. One reason is that I did a disk check on my video drive (980
gigs) and that took about 6 hours. I couldn't stop it without forcing
it, so I though it prudent to let it run it's course and work on
something else.
Thursday, March 11, 2004
Fried.
Finished 09-1 - had to recapture and re-render an animation that
was giving me fits.
John looked at 02-1 and 02-2, which each had some small fixes,
which I was able to complete. We'll just check that tomorrow real
quick.
For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.
To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
Romans 11:36

Omlett.
I didn't write anything and have slept since then - forgotton what
took place!
Saturday, March 13, 2004
Pancakes! Finished 09-2, a big section with lots of corrections
in it.
Tried to give away a flat of eggs, but upon hearing the word 'cracked'
they politely refused.
Sunday, March 14, 2004
Ran the sound for the Koinanea Drama group / worship team. It was
a tough go - a lot of work, and no rehersal. One cordless mic didn't
work, and we had 4 corded mics being passed around. There were 2
services, and the second was much better than the first!
Drove the Graf's to the airport, and am not officailly taking care
of their house / animals while they are gone.
Tuesday, March 16, 2004
Drove to see Jim Metcalf to get some video of building a house.
They just got the trusses up, which is when I wanted to film. Also
took some stills.
Wednesday, March 17, 2004
Spent the day running around, getting ready for the seminar. We
set up for the seminar in the morning - setting up chairs / tales,
etc.
Then, took 3 trips to Calary to pick up some folks. I used John's
van for the first 2. The first trip - it took about 40 minutes to
find the 2 couples! But the second and third, it was right quick.
The last fellow came in at 10:30 - and ran into the 6 folks from
Georga. Got home at about 12:30.
Thursday, March 18, 2004
Catching up for lost time. Today I'm re-writing the week's events
from memory, so keep that in mind as you read the last 3 days events!
Up at 6:30 - to get enought time to feed the dog, sheep, donkey
and llamas! Open the church at 7:30, then out to round everybody
up. total of 6 people to pick up, but 8 from now on out.
Today was the first day of TERM, which started out just fine. There
are 28 students from Edmonton to Mexico! There was a lot of running
around for me this morning, as I need to have the building unloced
at 7:30 (after taking care of the dog and animals at the place I'm
house-sitting.) Really tired today, but better me than the other
guys, as they are doing the teaching.
Been trying to get our new Iomega Hard drive. Haven't been able
to get it to work via Firewire, so I'm going to try USB next. Seems
to be working - just slow as it's a 1.0 USB.
The house was shown again today - had to go last minute to make
sure things were right.
Friday, March 19, 2004
The morning was much like the others - up at 6:30, feed the animals
and tie up the dog - to be at the church to open up by 7:30. Drove
around to pick people up and hung out for a bit.
Then went to the office but never made it. The truck died on the
road. Barney towed me to Miles' place and I worked on it till 9:00.
I replaced the fuel pump, but the problem was a broken wire. No
worries- it's good to have a new fuel pump!
Saturday, March 20, 2004.
Another typical morning. Bought some red paper board from Olds
Value Drug Mart and cut it up for Atonement props.
Drove Tyler to the airport at noon- and a couple couples at 7:00.
Sunday, March 21, 2004
Another day of driving folks to the airport- first the Zimmermans
at 10:00am, then the Laws at 3:00.
Thursday, March 25, 2004
Oh, boy. Forgot to write for the past 4 days again. Took Jack /
Brenda to the airport so I can stay at their house for 10 days.
That means, now I have 2 dogs, 10 cats, 1 donkey, 2 llammas, about
7 sheep, and 3 houses to take care of— till the Graf's come
home on Wednesday.
Here's one dog:
Got 3 corrections of 3 sections completed, and another ready to
proof (09-3).
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
James 4:8a
Friday, March 26, 2004
John looked at 3 sections - and each has it's share of corrections…
Finally got photofound.com up and running- at least to a point
where we can get things configured. I have a lot of work to do -
and a lot of re-work! Changing names, moving to different servers
and updating the program takes it's toll on a fellow.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6
Saturday, March 27, 2004
Worked on the website just a little, then helped John get in a
copule three loads of wood.
Sunday, March 28, 2004
Finished up 2 Thessalonins in Sunday School, and Brent spoke on
Rom 12:1-2 - being transformed into Christ-likeness.
Went to the airport w/ Katie to pick up Selina.
Monday, March 29, 2004
Finished the changes on 04-3 and some of 04-4.
Tuesday, March 30, 2004
Worked on the website - stock
photography - photofound.com - and got about 35 pictures configured.
There's lots to do because I overwrote my database (!) and have
lots to fix because of that. Thankfully I only had to go back a
few day's worth as I had a backup, but not a current backup!
Also - another airport run, and dropped off some photos to have
printed. We'll seee what the 20"x30" posters look like
from the Kodak 14n.
Tuesday, March 30, 2004
Hey, it's snowing today!
My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your
heart keep my commandments;
For length of days and years of life And peace they will add to
you.
