Church in the morning, then by 2:30 pm, we were heading down to
Anchorage w/ the team to see them off.
Monday, August 2, 2004
The team went shopping, and I stayed home getting the pictures
ready for the team to take with.
Tuesday, August 3, 2004
We primarily were shopping all day, but had time for a bike ride
in the afternoon / evening.
Wednesday, August 4, 2004
I started home after a short shopping trip, while Brad and Connie
came later after looking at another plane.
Turned out that they arrived in Glenallen (where we were supposed
to meet) about 3 hours late. That gave me some time to drive around
and see the visitor's center and take some photos.

Just worked all day. No photos.
Friday, August 6, 2004
Time for a shoot in the afternoon. Worked till 6:00, shower, great
steak dinner, and headed East at about 9:30 pm.

Back to work as normal!
Saturday, August 14, 2004
Helped Trevor pour about 20 yards of cement at about 7:30 in the
morning (for a grain bin). It was supposed to take about an hour,
ended up being about 3 :)
Was able to spend about 4 hours on the video, formatting Closed
Captioning files.
About 3:00 or so, went out to help Miles get in some hay. It was
a lot of work (as always) but we managed to get what we planned
on (worked till about 10:00 or so.)
Monday, August 16, 2004
Had supper out on the prarie - and hung around a bit to help out.
There was plenty of people, so it wasn't too bad.
Thursday, August 19, 2004
Photoshoot for Patty - a new intern working with GoodSeed in the
US.
Saturday, August 21, 2004
Another batch of cement w/ Trevor. This time Andrew wasn't here
to help, though the forms were better. All in all it wasn't too
bad, except when the cement driver dumped way too much on one side
- which left it up to me and Trevor to shovel it all over.
Then we put together the first ring of a bin.
Thursday, August 26, 2004
Trevor, Sarah and Mitch finished off the tin on the shed. Only
thing left is some trim and the door.
Friday, August 27, 2004
Spent pretty much the morning helping Trevor and Esther put the
top on the first bin. I have never done this before- was an interesting
deal. It did go together quite nicely, once you got it figured out,
that is!
Also, this is the day I got deserted - Andrew, John, Jim and Leslie
took off for Waukesha.
Then I drove to Wetaskiwin to spend the weekend up there.
I tore apart my truck. Iit was leaking antifreeze pretty bad, out
of the intake manifold. So tha thad to come off of course, which
I did that evening.

Went and got parts to fix the 'battleship' - what John's father
calls the intake manifold. And boy does it look like one! We got
it back together, but to find out that the plug for the drain on
the radiator was shot. We'll pick one of those up on Monday.

Went to church w' Friesen's, then to the lake for Jody's suprize
birthday party. It was a rainy, dreary day, but worked out just
fine.
On the way home we stopped at Pete Friesen's place, and I re-wired
a couple 3-way switches for him. Oh, and now they work. Imagine
that.
